Entry protocol
Five steps from nothing to in-game. The whole thing takes about twenty minutes, most of which is FiveM downloading.
FiveM is the multiplayer client BLACKOUT runs on. You need a legitimate copy of GTA V installed and launched at least once through Steam, Rockstar or Epic before FiveM will start.
Everything happens in Discord: whitelist decisions, wipe announcements, horde warnings and support tickets. You cannot be whitelisted without being in the server.
The application asks about them, and staff will assume you have read them from your first scene onwards. The combat and roleplay sections are where most new players lose their whitelist.
Five steps: identity, experience, character concept, three scenario questions, and the rules agreement. Write the character concept properly — it is the part staff actually weigh.
Once you are approved, open FiveM, press F8 to open the console, and paste the connect command below. Add the server to your favourites so you never have to type it again.

If it goes wrong
The six problems that account for nearly every failed first connection.
Your application has not been approved yet, or it was approved for a different Discord account than the one linked to FiveM. Check your status in the player portal, and make sure the Discord account you applied with is the one FiveM is signed into.
Almost always a corrupted cache. Close FiveM, open %localappdata%\FiveM\FiveM.app\data\ and delete the cache folder, then reconnect. The first join after clearing takes several minutes.
Client-side mods that alter gameplay, handling, weapons or entities are blocked. Remove any files from your GTA V directory's mods folder and delete dinput8.dll or ScriptHookV.dll if present. Graphics-only reshades are permitted.
Use the direct connect command below rather than searching the server browser. If it still fails, your ISP or a VPN is blocking the Cfx.re endpoints — try without the VPN first.
Usually memory. Close browsers and overlays, cap your framerate, and set the FiveM process to high priority. If you are on 8 GB of RAM, raise your Windows page file to at least 16 GB.
FiveM picks its input device separately from Windows. Press Escape, open Settings, then Voice Chat, and select your microphone explicitly rather than leaving it on Default.
